Frédéric Lauber
Frédéric graduated from the University of Strasbourg (France) in 2012 in Microbiology. He then joined the lab of Prof. Guy Cornelis in Namur (Belgium) in which he studied lipoprotein surface exposure in Bacteroidetes, for which he was awarded his PhD in 2016. The same year, he joined the group of Prof. Ben Berks at the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Oxford (UK) as a postdoc. During that time, he studied the Bacteroidetes T9SS using a combination of genetics, biochemistry, fluorescence microscopy and structural biology. In 2021, he joined the lab of Prof. Jean-François Collet as senior scientist (FNRS Charge de Recherche) to start a new project focused on Bacteroidetes competition.
