Brussels Center for Redox Biology

Nghia obtained his MSc degree of Molecular Biology and graduated from Interuniversity Programme of Molecular Biology between Vrije Universiteit Brussels and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 2018. He joined the redox signaling lab from 2017 to do his master thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Joris Messens, focusing on the chaperone function of DJ-1B protein fromĀ Arabidopsis thaliana. For his PhD research project, he is studying peroxiredoxins as redox-relays for tumor-associated macrophage phenotype switching with the aim of manipulating tumor behaviour at the molecular level.
