Simon Tack

Simon Tack obtained his "biochemistry and biotechnology" bachelor degree at the university of Ghent (Belgium) as well as the subsequent master in ‘Plant biotechnology’. During his thesis he joined the VIB-Ugent Oxidative Stress Signaling lab (Prof. Dr. F. Van Breusegem) where he focused on Metacaspase activity using FRET probes under the guidance of Dr. A.D. Fernandez Fernandez and Prof. Dr. S. Stael. In November 2022 he joined the OSS lab as a PhD fellow to continue these efforts.
